Combustibility Class E
SAUERLAND BOARD consists of chipped wood and synthetic resin glue.
Standard boards have a ‘normal’ combustibility according to the Combustibility class E following EN 13501-1 (European Standard).
Use for production of fire doors
Tubular or Solid Extruded board can be used as cores in fire doors.
But because the core being only one component besides for example frame, skins, hardware and intumescents, it is necessary to test the complete door set.
According to the type of core - tubular or solid - different grades of fire resistance can be obtained:

| 30 min | tubular boards with 18/22 mm tubes solid boards multi-layer-cores |
| 60 min | solid boards in doors > 45 mm |
